"But if I say I will not mention Him, nor speak anymore in His name, His word is in my heart like a fire: a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed I cannot." Jeremiah 20:9

Holy 'freak out over something minor' batman
Nope - I'm with joyo on this one. In fact, I think that they should declare a national day of mourning... either that or a lynch Kevin Lowe day. Unbelievable...
As sad as I am to see Smytty go (and watching his press conference made it even harder), I can't help but Lowe has something else planned.
I'm going to wait until the summer to judge him on this one. He has picks and money to spare now, and so at the draft or on July 1st, I think we may finally see what was going through his mind. Who knows, maybe Smyth will even come back . . . and Lowe would look like a genius.
It definately is sad though. Smyth deserved a lot better.
luke, luke, luke.
based on your your above reaction...i'm going to blame you for the trading of our beloved smyth. i'm almost as sad over this as i am over the loss of my u2. it's people like you...and kevin lowe that make this world very, very sad indeed.
I know you don't want to... but check this out:

I can't believe what a huge deal it is for them... I mean, I understand why it's a big deal for the Oilers, but who would have thought that New York cared so much?

did you hear about the person at the airport with the 'Trade Lowe' shirt who got kicked out. pretty funny I might add. They've actually had to increase that mans security eh. oh i emailed you.
